Hair Care guide.
Virgin human hair rewards a little discipline. Follow these basics and your bundles, closures and wigs will keep their shine, density and movement install after install.
Four rules to live by.
Wash Sparingly
Once every 7–10 days is plenty. Over-washing strips natural oils and speeds up dryness and tangling.
Sulfate-Free Only
Use sulfate-free shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. Sulfates dry out the cuticle and dull the shine.
Protect Before Heat
Always apply a heat protectant and keep tools under 350°F/180°C to preserve the cuticle layer.
Sleep on Silk
A silk or satin bonnet and pillowcase cut down on friction, frizz and tangling overnight.
Wash day
Step by step.
The order matters — follow it every time you wash to keep the hair looking newly installed.
Detangle first
Gently work through with a wide-tooth comb from tip to root before any water touches the hair.
Wash downward
Let water and shampoo flow in one direction, root to tip, to prevent matting and shedding.
Deep condition
Leave a moisturizing mask on for 5–10 minutes weekly to keep the cuticle smooth and hydrated.
Air dry first
Blot with a microfiber towel and let hair air dry most of the way before any heat styling.
Wigs & closures
Extra care for installs.
Removing adhesive or tape
Use an oil-based adhesive remover and work slowly along the hairline — never pull or rip. Cleanse the lace with a gentle lace cleanser afterward to remove residue before storing.
Cleaning the lace
Dab (don't scrub) the lace with a soft toothbrush and diluted shampoo, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry flat on a wig stand out of direct sunlight.
Storing between wears
Store on a wig stand or in a satin bag to hold shape and prevent creasing. Avoid damp storage, which can cause odor and weaken the wefts.
Rotating installs
Rotating between two units gives each one time to rest and recover, extending the wearable life of both.
Common questions
Quick answers.
How long does virgin hair last?
With proper care, 12 months or longer of regular wear is typical — many customers get well beyond that with good maintenance and rotation.
Can I color or dye it?
Yes, virgin hair can be lifted and colored, but we recommend a professional colorist and a strand test first to protect the cuticle.
Why is my hair tangling at the nape?
Friction from sleeping without a bonnet or silk pillowcase is the most common cause. Nightly protection makes the biggest difference.
What products should I avoid?
Skip anything with sulfates, high alcohol content, or heavy silicones that build up over time and weigh the hair down.
